    Basic Guidelines

Here's just a quick rundown of basic rules to the forum, which actually apply to any forum you are a member of:

    1. Listen to me, the Admin, and all times. I am here to help you, and I am trying my best to make this site the best roleplaying site possible. Please be respectful.

    2. Godmodding and God-moding are both STRICTLY PROHIBITED. That means you CANNOT control someone else's actions or do impossible things (like fly or shoot lasers from your fingertips).

    For example:

BAD - Alex was mad. Alex punched Derek in the face. Derek fell down and didn't get back up.

(This is just bad writing in general. It doesn't flow well, and the sentences are disjointed and blocky. It also employs god-modding, because whoever is roleplaying as Alex is roleplaying as Derek, too. This isn't fair, because whoever is roleplaying as Derek didn't get a chance to avoid the punch. This is cheating and a BIG no-no.)

GOOD - Alex wasn't happy, so he swung his right hand to punch Derek in the face.

(This is where your post would end, allowing Derek a chance to say whether he dodged the punch, blocked the punch, or just got punched.)

EXCELLENT - Alex's knuckles went white with fury, and he lashed out a vicious punch, aiming for Derek's jaw. All rational thought was long gone, and all that mattered now was smashing that bastard's teeth in.

(This is an example of good roleplaying. Alex's writer uses vivid detail to describe Alex's thoughts and emotions, and uses good grammar and punctuation. His actions are rationalized, and he gives Derek's roleplayer a chance to react to the incoming punch. You should try and roleplay like this all the time. It would make me very happy.)

Think long and hard about each and every post you make to be sure that it doesn't disobey any of these.

    3. Pay attention and make sure you read all of the rules before posting to reduce any mistakes and save yourself from getting on my nerves.

    4. Roleplaying posts must be at least 100 words. For every 100 words over the minimum, you get $10 added to your character's funds! So the more you RP, the more money you get! Want to buy some stuff for your character? Spice up your roleplaying, and everyone wins!

With that said, I won't try and baby anyone. You know the way you're supposed to behave, so just respect others the way you would want to be respected, and I think that will eliminate most problems here.
